Weird twitching

Earlier today I had some minor cramping but then I had a couple sharp twinges on the left side where I imagine my ovary is. After the sharp twinges I felt like my pelvic area was twitching in that same spot. I lifted my shirt and could actually see the muscles twitching....any ideas...I tried to call the Dr. but the office was already closed plus the receptionist always sounds annoyed.
