How to supplement formula?

Imminently running out of enough breast milk for daycare. How do I supplement with formula? Ie how much /how often/how introduce?

I started by giving an oz or two instead of bm with his regular bottles and slowly increased the ratio until he was able to tolerate full formula. Now when I just do full formula for a few bottles a day. So nice to not stress about it!!

I had this issue and my baby sleeps through the night now so I get up and pump which has made a huge difference. I'll get about 4-5oz. It sucks getting up but the anxiety relief is worth it!

I couldn't keep up with my LO demand when I went back  to work so I had to start supplementing. She was drinking 5 oz bottles so I made it 2oz formula and  3oz breast milk and that is how she would take it until about a week ago when she started taking 3oz formula and 3oz breastmilk. The first time I gave it to her was on a Sat morning so I could see if it would bother her  tummy but nothing changed by Sunday night so I stuck with the plan of supplementing with the formula my peds gave me, Gerber Gentle.  She is 6 months old and ia still BF  and the supplementing helped me rebuild my freezer stash. Good luck
