Should I start using Ovulation Kits?

I've been TTC for a year now and have tried not to stress out about it. Before I go to the doctors and ask about fertility tests I was considering using an opk for a few months. Are they worth the money? Has anyone found that using them made the process more effective? Would really appreciate feedback.

They will want you to temp a couple months to ensure ovulation too so I'd try that along with opk for 2 months. Book an appt for the end of that 2 months. Buy a Basel body thermometer, and internet cheapie opk, a bunch and some preseed. When you're opk start getting darker and you get fertile cm, use 1ml of the preseed when you bd. bd the day of positive opk and the next 2 days. Hopefully you won't need the appt or it can be used for confirmation of pregnancy!!!

I say pair OPKs with BBT. For me the OPKs are helpful to help make sure we BD at the right time. When trying for my son, turned out we were trying at the wrong time. I buy the cheap ones from Amazon.

I'd say go for it! Easy@home on Amazon are really cheap and work well, I just started using them myself.
