Girlfriend vs. Wife?

Ugh. Help. I've been with my boyfriend for three years and he still hasn't popped the question. Anytime I bring up getting married, he just doesn't seem excited, yet he constantly tells me I'm the girl he wants to marry.

We have lived together for two years. I cook every meal, I clean the house everyday before he gets home, I meal prep, I co-parent and help  raise his child, bathing her and being the only one who gets her ready, he gets sex every night, I grocery shop, book all of his apts whether it's counseling or the doctor, etc.  and sooo much more.

Am I doing to much? Am I the reason he hasn't proposed? Like why buy the cow when you get the milk for free...

Men need to come around in their own time, even if it seems like forever. My husband and I dated 9 years, with 5 of those year living together, before he popped the question. We fought about it a lot, I thought about giving up a lot but the love was there. After it was said and done I'm so happy he waited until he was ready. Our love is so strong. I know it can be discouraging, but if he treats you right and the love is there he will come around. Love and support your way! ✨

Was in the same situation. Had to leave. When I started to move on and he heard from other people I've been seeing another guy he asked to see me and proposed. I laughed because I didn't take him seriously. He was disappointed. I told him I had to think about it and that I was already proposed to from the guy i was talking to(childhood friend). Plus he had to go to my parents and ask for my hand in marriage. it took me about a month to decide and I did choose him. But he understood that I didn't want to be a permanent girlfriend. We had a small simple wedding and now We are happily married going on 7 years. We talk about it from time to time and laugh but he always say he almost lost me. I wish you all the best Hun but let him know how you feel because getting married is important to you. It bothered me ALL the time because I always felt not good enough. He has two boys 9/8 who I grew close to and they themselves wanted us to get married. But he didn't see it that way at the time😒anywho. You can't force it he'll do it when he's ready. No need to rush he loves you respects you treats you right and so forth that's what should matter more than a ring.

No your not doing to much, just be patient. He is maybe waiting for the perfect time, and maybe he's looking for the perfect ring. You will eventually get married, just be patient. Don't rush things. He's stayed with you this long.

my man has a 4 year rule, but yet we've been together for way longer. we are happy the way things are. granted if he did pop the question i would say yes as soon as he dropped to his knee. sometimes you get comfortable in the way your life is going. he feels safe, he doesn't want that to change. maybe just talk to him about it. make a some what joking ultimatum, "if you don't propose to me by the end of the year, im going to propose to you." i dunno, wake him up alittle bit if it means that much to you. 😊

I had the same issue lol. He kept telling me how marriage didn't mean anything but a piece of paper. I explained to him what it meant to me and why I wanted to marry him. We were dating for 4 years already until I got tired and gave him a dateline lol as horrible as it sounds😂 it worked! Then we were engaged for 2 years and didn't even set up a date, he kept pushing it and pushing it. He made me feel as if he gave me a ring just to shut my mouth but wasn't really going to marry me. His mom and I pushed and now we are happily married. He tells me everyday how this was the best decision he ever made❤️ give him some time! Men are just donkies🙊
