what birth control are you breast feeding moms on?

My follow up appointment is on the 8th.i had to have an emergency c section on the 7th of February and so I feel as if I am so certain I don't want anymore kids it was too much for me especially since I had to have 2 blood transfusion because I lost so much blood 😩 but anyways what's the best birth control out there?  I've heard some are not good for if you're breastfeeding and I just want to be sure I am able to take BC but still provide milk for my son.

I was on a mini pill and loved it! My milk supply didn't change, I didn't have mood swings as I did with a regular pill before pregnancy, and no weight changes :)

My pp visit is in 4 weeks. I'm getting ParaGuard.  Hormone free so it won't drop my supply and it can last years without me having to remember to take my pill on time (how blessing #2 got here🙃)

In October i got nexplanon put in and didn't bleed the first 2 weeks it was in. After that I never had more than 12 days without a period. Most of the time I had a heavy period 8 days apart for 8-10 days. And I was never not spotting. It also made my libido non existent and i became very depressed after a month of having it. I recently had to be put on the mini pill to help regulate me and thicken my uterine lining since it apparently thins out the more babies you have. I'm still night nursing usually 1-2 times a night so apparently it's okay according to  y OB. I'm also not as depressed and my libido is finally coming back. Idk if I'll have to stay on the mini pill forever even with the nexplanon but thankful it's working for now.

I just got Mirena a week ago. I'm not going to sugarcoat it... was painful getting inserted and I was severely crampy for a few days. Have also been spotting, which isn't fun. Still having some cramps too ☹️

I had Mirena inserted today, bit of cramping and bleeding, I've had worse during periods though. I'm two months Pp and hadn't gotten a period yet and hopefully won't. I'm not EBF either, although i give baby boy everything I have. (Looking into whether or not I have IGT😔) This decision was best for me and my family. To be honest with you, my hubby and I are very.. uh... active lol, so I didn't want to chance another unplanned surprise! Haha. Good luck on your decision mama.

Mini-pill here as well and I HATE it!!! I was on Depo Provera for about 4 years before conceiving and, other than weight gain, never had any issues. I swear with the mini-pill I've experienced every side effect listed!

Got mirena inserted 7weeks pp n I had my period for the second time since giving birth for a week (normally I have it for 3days). I'm 10weeks pp n I get light spotting here n there but no complaints n it hasn't affected my milk supply

I'm on the depo, got my first shot a couple weeks ago and haven't had any problems with it.
