how to get breast pump thru Medicaid ???

Hello everyone, I want to know if any of you mommies has Medicaid and got a breast pump through it. I know many insurance will give you one but it seems really hard for me to find one through Medicaid.

They told me i had to have a prescription for it so my doctor told me after i deliver to ask the lactation consultant to write me one and i should be able to get it right away

I called my health insurance provider (medstar family choice) that I had under Medicaid and was told that I needed to get a "prescription" filled out by my ob from the medical equipment company n fax it over. Never got a chance to do it but my hospital that was medstar helped me fill out their form n sent it over. Was able to pick it up for days later. Thought I was going to get the medela one but they could only give me the spectra dew 350. That one is okay but u can't adjust the speed just the suction so I ordered the spectra s2 thru Groupon n waiting for it to come in today. Good luck getting ur pump.
