Why do women love rap?

It's so offensive and degrading.  I mean when you actually listen to the lyrics.  I think the worst one  is Eminem.  I mean I can't really jam to lyrics of violence, rape, and name calling.  I like old school rap though.  Modern rap sucks!  To each their own...but when I hear it , it annoys the shit out of me. Any other women feel the same???

I like Eminem, I'm not really sure why though. I usually take the lyrics with a grain of salt, but I understand why some are offended.

Music is art and it's supposed to make you feel some type of way. That's the whole point. There are plenty of different rappers who don't write about those things and still have great music. You don't have to like it, just listen to what you do like and move on. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If i had to take rap vs the crap of today rap would win each time. Particulary Eminem, most of his songs that I have heard have meaning, are about something ei) this one about President Dotard. I would rather hear a rapper up front about their feelings/thoughts etc than listen to hidden messages in pop music "hit me baby one more time" for example. Or lyrics that are the same (the one we hear in the car all the time that drives my husband batty) "under my umbrella..ella..ella..eh..eh"

Lecrae is my favorite rap artist, and he doesnt swear or put women down. In fact it's the opposite, he's very uplifting with a great beat.
