Do you eat the butt bread?

The butt bread is the 2 ends on the loaf of sliced bread. I don't like it, it's smaller and dry 😆 but don't worry it doesn't go to waste because my husband eats it 😇 (I do eat the ends of French bread). We were discussing this at work and it got big laughs, and it the results were about half and half.

My dogs eat the last few pieces of the loaf. My lab comes running every single time he hears the bread bag open. He LOVES bread 😂 but nothing goes to waste in my house, ive got 3 pups who will gladly eat anything!

We make it into croutons by tossing with olive oil and herbs, or pulverize it to use as bread crumbs. Delicious baked with chicken or fish or on mushrooms. You can also toast it and sprinkle it on soups.

I hate the crusts (but try to eat them anyway)so naturally I hate the ends too 😝 I try to dry them out a little bit and give them to the birds!

I usually only use them for a grilled cheese. I'll save them though in case I run out of bread. Sometimes you gotta work with what you have.

I do eat it if it's the last piece of bread and there's nothing else… I just turn the crust part in so that I don't see it… Totally works. It's an edible piece of bread in my opinion. I also save them to make French toast.

No. It's mostly crust and not fluffy and delicious like the rest of the bread. We feed the ends to our chickens.
