Cramps when pregnant?

So i was supposed to start my period today but i havent. I have been cramping for days which is normal for me before i actually start. My question is do you still have period cramps when you have missed your first period indicating that you are pregnant? or do you just get sick and no period cramps? I hope this makes sense..
