BAD pms cramps

Does anyone get really bad cramps right before or at the beginning of their period?? I get the sweats, chills, stomach pain, slight fever sometimes, and severely bad cramps where I just curl up in a ball in bed and cry. I've done the birth control, and while it helps I don't want to be on it considering I'm not having sex and it messes up your hormones. Any suggestions or experiences??
