Anyone start solids early?

I don't need to hear why I shouldn't just want to hear experiences and recommendations from mom's who have. My LO just turned 4 months. How often do they eat solids? How much at a time? I plan on mixing with breastmilk.

4 months isn't early thats when you can start stage 1 food. Or make your own. You introduce 1 food st a time for like 4 days till you introduce the next so you make sure lo doesn't have a reaction!

I started my son at 17 weeks but he wasn't that interested so I started again at just before 5 months. He's doing great now I'm mainly sticking to fruit and veg with a little bit of fish and cheese. He likes everything I've gave so far. He has 3 meals a day now. He's just over 5 months and 3 bottles. It's helping him sleep through the night also.

Just started my 4 month this week.. He hated the rice cereal and oatmeal. I tried two different kinds and he didn't take to it. I gave him bananas and he loved it. Two days straight with the bananas and complete success. I'm going to try the cereal again in a couple of days.

My pediatrician recommended starting solids at 4 months. He said every country does it differently and so the only food off the table was honey. And of course, don't replace bottles with cows milk etc. I pureed everything at first. My son is nine months now and is still breastfeeding, but he eats just about everything that we do. We haven't had any digestion issues, allergies, or upset tummies.

I did because my daughter had severe reflux so it was either solids or increase her medication. She did great with it. Her older brother however had a terrible time even at 5.5m, everything upset his stomach so his sleeping got worse.

Anyone start solids early?
