Swaddle before or after

Does anyone swaddle their newborn for sleep? Drop you keep them swaddled when they nurse? We unwrap baby to nurse but it wakes her up to reswaddle to go back down but she doesn't sleep well without it either. So much thrashing in sleep. Ugh.

I swaddle him as part of bedtime routine and nurse him to sleep. When he wakes up during the night, I unswaddle to change, reswaddle and nurse to sleep.

When my baby was a newborn, I'd feed her from one boob unswaddled then burp her & swaddle her then put her on the other boob & she'd fall right back to sleep.

I unswaddle, change her diaper, feed on one boob, burp then swaddle then feed on the second boob for a few minutes and she's out

My boy is active after nursing, so I nurse, swaddle, then put to bed.

All depends how well he takes to the swaddle, he sometimes fights it, and how hungry he is as it tends to put gmhim to sleep before he takes in enough. But at night sometimes I feed him swaddled for up to 30 mins and he sleep eats half of that and just drifts back to sleep without ever being disturbed.

My baby is bottle fed, but I would swaddle before her bottle and put her to bed. She's been sleeping thought the night since she was 6 weeks!

If I swaddle it's before nurse cuz he's fussing so bad. And then when he's sleeping I unswaddle his arms.
