C-section... What to expect?

Ok no negativity please. 
 
My doctor told because of some complications that I've had that more than likely for the safety of baby me,  we'll end up having g a c-section. We're hoping not but just in case he wants me to know it's a possibility and be mentally prepared for it just in case. 
 
My question is I see so many women post about natural birth and tons of advise about what to expect afterwards but what should I expect after c-section?

Get up and moving as soon as possible and ask for a binder because they are life savers. The first 2 days are the worst

I recently had a sectionn done on 02-17-17. Due to her being breech. Don't be scared or nervous. I was so afraid to have a c-section done. But it was honestly better then vaginal in my opinion. Once your in the OR and the spinal is done. Everything goes so fast. I went into the or at 10 she was out but 1020 and back in the room by 11. For after just make you are walking once you are able to. I was out of bed the same day had the cath out and moving around. Slowly but moving. I only needed help out of bed twice. And I was good to get up on my own. I walked the halls pushing her in the bassinet. Was able to leave the hosp after two days. You will bleed a lot but as far as pain every one is different. I only took the ibuprofen for 2 days after I left the hosp. And then I had zero pain. But like the other comments. Take the stool softeners!! 
I hope everything goes smooth lily for you. Just remember to relax and the dr do this all the time. I wish I had someone to tell me to just relax. Because I was extremely worked up over nothing. And just think you will be soon holding your precious baby. 👶🏼👍🏼

After a c-section, you'll likely be in the hospital for 48 hours (whereas vaginal births are usually for 24). The first few days are going to be the most painful. It will hurt to walk. It will hurt to pee. The gas pain is absolutely horrible and when the nurses come and check on you, they will push on your stomach and push on your incision and it will hurt. My best advice is to stay on top of your meds. Take stool softeners, and not just the ones the hospital gives you, ask for something stronger because the first few bowel movements are so painful and so difficult since you have to use the muscles that were just cut open. You'll likely need help getting out of bed for about a week (unless you're lucky). Remember to stay hydrated and have someone with you always to help out. One thing I was surprised about and didn't expect at all, is that even with a c-section, your vagina will swell up and feel super odd for a few days. I hope I covered everything! It sounds scary, but it honestly isn't so bad as long as you have someone to help you.

Granny panties and comfy pants that don't rub ur incision. I really liked jersey knit ones. I was walking later that day, very slowly.stay on top of pain meds and stool softener is a must. I felt worst 5 days after and somewhat myself at 10 days. Also I was surprised I bleed so much. I guess u bleed more w csection. I used overnight pads and was fine but it was 5 weeks. Everyone heals differently so don't be surprised if it varies and don't be a hero, don't overdo and don't do heavy lifting.
