Does anyone have to have a cerclage put in place during their pregnancy? I did for my last pregnancy, and due to traveling out of the country for work I had it done around 18-19 weeks, and this pregnancy my OB is going to do it at 14 weeks. I've been through it and all was fine, but I'm more nervous about it this time around for some reason. Just wondering if anyone else has done it this early in pregnancy and how things went. I think it was reassuring to me that I could feel the baby move after the procedure last time but since it's going to be earlier this time that may not be the case. Also, for those who did have one, did it impact your ability to labor naturally? When I was in labor with my first (10 years ago) I dilated fine without help, but the last pregnancy I wasn't dilating at all and I am wondering if it had anything to do with having had the cerclage in place. It was removed at 38 weeks, but my doctor seemed to have trouble removing all of it, so I'm afraid labor will stall again this time since I'll have another cerclage.
