Sleep Schedule for newborn?

Any mamas incorporate a sleeping or feeding schedule? If so how has it worked any tips for a ftm?

I'd love to know😂 my doc says during the day eat every 2hr and at night every 3.... but I'm thinking my LO will do what she wants until she's a little older. She's two weeks old.

As a second time mom, let me tell you there's no point in trying to sleep train right now. Usually around 6-8 weeks is a better time. Right now, it's better to just go with the every 3 hr feeding rule and just learn your baby's natural habits. At this age, babies can stay awake 45 min to an hour. 30 min of that is usually changing and feeding. Their OFF button is automatically pushed now. They just go to sleep. 6-8 weeks is when they usually start needing help and routines.

Ive charted my newborns schedule and this is how its been even throughout the day, i love it!

I'm not being super strict bc he's a newborn, but he eats about every 3 hours. Every once in awhile he'll want to eat at 2 1/2 hours, but usually 3. It makes it so he tends to eat around the same time during the day and night, but not exactly. I feel like it's going well, since he's only 3 weeks yesterday. I will say I wake him up to eat after 3 hours during the day, but let him wake up on his own at night.

I just go with the flow. Baby will do as she pleases for now! But as for now, she sleeps for about 4 hours. She eats and has a diaper change andbforbthe mostbpart falls back to sleep for another 4 hours. She's up maybe 2 during the day/evening for 1-2 hours just looking around.
