High FSH levels

CJ
I went for blood work to test for "day 3 levels" for FSH before I started clomid challenge on day 5. I was told I "failed", because my FSH level was over 20. Since my insurance will only cover the clomid challenge with specific (lower) numbers, I have to wait until next month to test again. I'm 42, never been pregnant, so I was wondering what the "biggest" decrease anyone has experienced from one month to the next. Basically, my number needs to drop to 12 or under... I'm trying to be positive, but I'm also realistic. I know there is nothing I can do to decrease my FSH hormone. Thanks.
