What do you think?

Eboni β€’ My family is my blessing. My son is my life. ❀ 5/4/17

So I just heard the "key and lock" analogy for the first time and personally, it kinda irritates me how some people can think that way but that's just me. For anyone who doesn't know what the key and lock analogy is, it's an analogy where the key is the man's parts and the lock is the women's parts and it goes like this:

"If a key can open a lot of locks, then it's a master key. But if a lock can be opened by lots of keys, then it's a bad lock."

I know everyone has their own opinions, I'm interested in what others have to say about it. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Who in their right mind would agree with this statement? So men can sleep with as many women as they want and it's a praised,  but if a woman does it, it's frowned upon?  Gtfo with that nonsense.  Everyone should be able to sleep with as many people as they want. People need to worry about their own sex lives,  not everyone else's.

I agree. I try to be discreet as possible with my sex life unless I'm discussing something for medical purposes or talking to a close friend but I get that some people like to be open and I get that but this statement is just terrible in my opinion and I heard it for the first time coming from a woman who agreed with it! I try not to let these bullshit slut shaming posts or quotes get to me but this one was just ridiculous..

If they key gets too wet, it will rust and become useless.

People who believe that are going to be thoroughly surprised to find out that I'm not actually a lock, but a human being.

It's really awful in so many ways. Elizabeth Smart does a really great takedown of purity culture and how damaging those types of analogies can be(she particularly focuses on how damaging they can be to rape victims, using the chewing gum analogy).

I've heard the chewing gum analogy and I've always thought it was really weird. Humans aren't products to be consumed. It's not like you can only have sex a finite amount of times? I don't understand purity culture at all.

I didn't even think of it this way! Wow. That's an eye opener, thank you for sharing that with me

The bigger issue is some man years ago probably got rejected by a woman and then started to spread some rumor that women just must not like sex and therefor it's a challenge to get them. Sorry we like it just as much as you guys. It's not some conquest. I think women need to start shouting from the roof tops were just as horny as you men! It will really take the fun out of it for them lol.
