Would you go to a baby shower on Mother's Day?

My mom and I decided on a date for the baby shower, but then we realized the date we picked is Mother's Day. My mom still wants to keep the date and thinks it will be even more special that way. I think people will be spending Time with their families so they won't come. What do you guys think?

Eh I don't think many people would make it? For our family we have two sets of moms to visit with and then my husband usually does something special for me. The day is usually pretty full!

I think it's a special day like you said for ppl to spend with their families and children especially! So unless you make it a jack and Jill and invite all the mothers to celebrate motherhood with you so it's special for everyone you might have a ton of no shows! You need to tell your mom no go!!! If I was invited to a shower that day, I wouldn't go. My husband normally does something special for me and it's a day I like to spend with my kids. If you're ok with the fact that a lot of people won't come or if they do, might not stay long than go ahead. But I'd be prepared that either of those things might happen.

We purposely picked a different date because we realized it was Mother's Day. It's not really fair to do that to mothers. It's a special day that's suppose to be for all of them and that makes it just about you.

Absolutely not, it's one special day a year that's to celebrate mothers. I have other children and would like to celebrate the day with my children and fiance.
