why does she hate swaddling?!

My girl is 2 weeks old and I have swaddled her multiple times a day since she was born. Now out of nowhere, she screams bloody murder if I try to swaddle her. I've tried a looser, tighter, different swaddle methods and nothing works. I even tried the "super swaddle" securing her arms and that seems to make it worse! I would be fine with letting her sleep not swaddled but her Moro reflex wakes her up constantly. I've gone from getting 3-4 hours of sleep from her to 1-2 hours at a time. Someone please help me!! What do I do to help her sleep again?!

I recently started using the SwaddleUp and my son seems to love it!  He always sleeps with his hands up by his face when he's not swaddled so I figured I'd give it a try.  I've only been using it for two nights and he has been sleeping a little longer, but not anything super drastic.  Looks like this.

I haven't swaddled since coming home from the hospital. My girls broke out of every swaddle they were put in at the hospital. They hated being swaddled.

Our little girl always loved having her hands/arms up by her face so we ended up just swaddling her from the armpits down and she loves it. She's 6 weeks now and has done it that way since coming home!

We really don't swaddle our son who is 6 weeks now. He gets so angry when we do. He uses his hands to soothe himself or he likes sleeping with his arms above his head. I wish we could because he definitely flails those arms everywhere and will hit himself in the face when he's sleeping sometimes. We have used the halo sleep sacks and swaddled under his arms but I'm not sure if that makes much difference. You can also use them to swaddle with just his hands near his face but he is able to break free when we do that.  We have given up and mostly just let him sleep in a warm sleeper outfit.

My baby also hated swaddling arms, so I would only swaddle half of him. But now I started putting him in straight jacket type
Of swaddled with Velcro and to my surprise he didn't fuss much and sleeps like a champ at night

We used a halo swaddle. My daughter seemed to like it. She was swaddled day one from birth. But there were times she constantly squirmed when in her swaddle sack. She'd eventually calm down and sleep. But for the most part she seemed to like being swaddled.  We bought an embe swaddler which is kind of like a straight jacket. We don't use it now.  She is 6 weeks old I don't swaddle her anymore as she manages to get her arms out. I swaddle her with her arms out and I use a muslin blanket now.

Have you tried swaddling her than rocking her?

Does she cry every time she's startled awake?
