Just a rant

Kayla

Sorry in advance for my little rant but this has been bothering me since Saturday. So Saturday I had my little cousin's 3rd birthday party. Well my 17 year old cousin and his girlfriend were there. They just welcomed their first child into the world last month. Neither of them have any idea what they are doing and know absolutely nothing about children. They have no idea what they need or how to do anything when it comes to the baby so they keep passing her to people that do, but yet they feel it is necessary for them to tell me what I need to do and what I have to have for my daughter who will be here in 8 weeks give or take. And to top it off my one Aunt decided to argue with me that it was 100% that I have a bassinet in my room so she can be with me at all times. Sorry not happening my daughter has her own room that is not even 5 ft from our room. Honestly I wouldn't feel safe with her in a bassinet due to the fact we have 2 dogs and I would not want to risk them knocking it over and I told her this but she kept telling me that I was wrong that I must have one and that I will regret not having one. This aunt has also told me in the past that I should not have children until I am in my mid to upper 30s like she did. Yes I understand that I am a FTM but I've always been around children. I have 3 younger sisters that I helped raise, my mom has worked in child care since I was a toddler, I have been in child care and worked at an elementary school.

Am I wrong for letting this get to me....
