Went in for my 10w3d appt. Dr was checking, then called in the ultrasound machine. No heartbeat. Baby died around 8w5d. I was so elated that we saw a strong heartbeat at 8w3d ultrasound. Confirmed immediately with a high risk ob. He saw no heartbeat either. This is devastating. I knew we were taking a chance, both of us being over 40, but was praying for a good outcome.
