IUD String

I've had the Paragard IUD for about 1 1/2 months and I've on and off been able to feel my strings. They are super short, but most of the time I can feel them. I just ovulated this week (I still ovulate because it's non hormonal). I felt my strings were in place on Friday, but I can't find them today (today is Monday) I've also had some cramping for about the last week and spotting. I chalked it up to ovulation, since I could feel my strings when this was going on. Now I'm starting to get concerned because I can't feel my strings. Anyone have any advice?
