So my 6 week old was diagnosed with thrush on Friday, as was I on my nipples (we are exclusively breast feeding). He was prescribed liquid nystatin and I was prescribed an ointment nystatin. He has had it four times a day since Friday and is showing no signs of improvement. I can only use the ointment twice a day and also haven't felt any relief. Plus the liquid medicine seems to be upsetting his stomach and affecting his sleep (I swear it is mostly sugar)! How long until this starts to work?! 😭 It's only a week prescription so I would think it would be working by now.
