Are glass bottles as breakable as people make it seem?

Question

We have to purchase the next size up in bottles soon anyway and I want to get glass since we don't even use plastic for ourselves.
Are they /that/ breakable? I don't think bottle companies would sell them if they'd be breaking all the time right??
I'm thinking we'd get the Avent since that's what we have in plastic bottles currently- so any suggestions beyond that would be great too!

My MIL uses glass for her adopted baby and she breaks one almost weekly. Either from the baby walking with it and dropping it throwing it for fun or pushing it off the highchair. She just switched to plastic because it is very scary thinking you could miss a broken peice and the baby put it in her mouth! I think if you have carpet everywhere it wouldnt be as bad. But she has mostly tile and wood floors besides the family room and bedrooms. I wouldn't recommend them because I have cleaned up so much broken glass.

I used Lifefactory bottles with my daughter & I had one break bc I accidentally hit the top part on the counter with ALOT of force. Other than that I've had no problem with them, plus side the company will send you a replacement bottle for free and they come with rubber sleeves so that helps too. I'm using them again with my son.

I use glass bottles for my daughter and never had one break. You can buy those silicone sleeves which will prevent breakage in some cases. Not sure what I will  do though once my daughter becomes more mobile.

I had some glass bottles and I never had them break until little one dropped it on the concreat but I had born free brand they are thick and a little heavy but I lasted threw dropping them in the house from a high chair only broke when dropped outside

I went with all glass bottles with my secondary baby. So glad I did. Faster to warm up and easier to clean. Plastic melts in hot water and the plastic bottles had a yellow film from the milk. Never had any issues with broken glass bottles.
