Mirena IUD opinions

So I've been on the pill (Sprintec) for over 10 yrs never had any issues with it, no weird side effects or anything...last month I had a knee surgery and they found a blood clot in my calf then I was admitted to the hospital for a week after them finding alot of blood clots in my lungs...so they made me stop my birth control, and I was not happy about it at all...saw my OBGYN and she gave a few flyers for different birth controls I can do, considering I am on blood thinners now:: the arm implant, the Paraguard IUD, the depo shot and Mirena IUD...the only one I am comfortable with is the Mirena IUD...if anyone could give me some tips or insights on it, personal experiences, pros/cons, etc I'd love to hear your feedback!!
