Inducted w/o any dilation?

I am being induced at 38 weeks (2 weeks and 3 days from now), and I am not dilated at all and my cervix is really high. My baby has been head down and very low since week 28, so he is in the right position for delivery. I am just nervous about being induced and not being dilated at all before hand. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it make my labor worse or much longer? I have to be induced early because of GD and some mild hypertension issues. Any input would be helpful!
