hair when pregnant - relaxer?

Ladies. Can you relax your hair while pregnant? I am 13 weeks and previously always relaxed my hair. I haven't done it since before I was pregnant and it's starting to look quite bad but I wasn't sure if it is safe for the baby??

Try getting a silk press or maybe some protective styling... I wouldn't risk the chemical exposure

Hi! Currently there isn't much researched evidence on whether they are safe or not to get during pregnancy, but generally relaxers contain harmful chemicals that can be absorbed by the scalp into the bloodstream so I would err on the side of caution 😊

I did twice with my son . He's healthy as can be and once with my daughter she'll be 8 this year . This is nooo evidence that it harms your baby .

I dont think its a good idea. Doctors advise you to not dye your hair too.
