I've never seen the movie and don't understand why I would haha. It's not an interest I have, and I'm lucky enough to have a guy who feels the same way. I wouldn't want to be with a guy if he was interested in going to strip clubs. I also don't enjoy Game of Thrones or anything else that spends an inordinate amount of time objectifying people.
Now that said, I don't think these things are WRONG, I'm just saying that's what I expect in my relationship and other people can be happy with their own expectations. I'm not really sure why people get so hung up on the "this is how my relationship is, that is therefore the right way, and furthermore all other ways are wrong" thing. 😅

I have no objection to my oh going to strip clubs but I do think magic Mike shows are totally different. Men can go to strip clubs and get turned on by what they see, it can be quite erotic but in my experience magic Mike shows are just funny. Yeah I might see a set of abs and think "oh he's hot" but once the dancing starts my friends and I just fall about laughing. Seeing other men's dicks don't turn me on at all, they just make me cringe and laugh.

I don't think my fiance would want me to go to a male strip club. He can be pretty insecure sometimes and I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. Just because I'm the more "confident" one in our relationship and I don't mind it if he'd go to a strip club doesn't mean I'd feel I had a "pass" to go.

We're two different people with different opinions about things. Even if I wanted to go, I know it would make him sad.

Good relationships aren't a tit-for-tat "you got a candy so I get one too" hostage negotiation. That kind of behavior for child siblings, not adults who want to share their lives with one another. Decisions should be based upon your desire to respect and nurture your partner. It's not always the most "fair" arrangement, but sometimes it's just not worth it to split the baby in two.
