Can you wear jeans to a memorial service?

Some jeans look better than dress pants; it's all a matter of looking well and respectful. To be honest at my grandmothers funeral I didn't give a rats ass what anyone was wearing!

Everyone has a different perception of appropriate attire. I wouldn't wear jeans (even black ones) to a memorial service, but some people will and do.

I've seen someone go to a wake in like their basketball uniform...nothing surprises me anymore.

I would wear what I was comfortable in. Particularly if I'm grieving. Its for sure not a fashion show or a place to show off your new outfit.
