getting off pain killers..

So I take 5 mg hydrocodone for my back.. I have scoliosis. I've found out I'm pregnant and I wanna get off of it during the pregnancy. I'm taking 3-4 a day so would it still be safe to ween it down like take one pill less for a couple days and then just keep going down.. so by 2-3 weeks I'll be off of them. I don't wanna quit altogether and miscarry bum terrified of losing the baby. Feed back would be nice ladies. Thanks!
