Human trafficking is a global issue that affects everyone everywhere. This transnational crime exploits young men women and children for the purpose of sex exploitation forced labor and organ harvesting. An estimated profit of human trafficking brings in between 9 billion-31.6 billion annually. Women and children have the highest percentage of being trafficked, but the under represented population affected by this crime is the LGBTQ community; but because there is little to no research done on this community they go unnoticed and statistics for this group will never be revealed no study to understand the process of human trafficking. Boys are another population under reported and studied, but The center for court innovation and John Jay College, found that boys in transgender youth were 58% of the commercially explore that use in New York City.The demand for six create a market that the man supply for sex trafficking and prostitution for six services. This demand for sexual services creates a "profit motive" that encourages individuals including traffickers to provide commercial sexual services that increases the supply and demand feature of sex trafficking and prostitution. When prostitution increases so does sex trafficking.
