You only get one birth of your first child, one first look at him, one first skin to skin connection. There is only one time you and your husband will go instantly from two, to three.

I want my birth the way I want it. I want at least an hour to ourselves after he is born to bond. But I am too much of a coward to tell people that. I am more anxious about pleasing people, than pushing a 7lb human out of my body.

I should be focused on our son, and what is best for him. But instead, I am worried about the backlash I will receive for not sharing him right away.
