If you have a glider chair, do you need a gliding ottoman or will a stationary one work?

I have a glider with a glider ottoman and I actually think I prefer to use the chair and  no ottoman. When I'm using it it's harder for me to just rock because the ottoman is rocking too. So I don't really have anything to push on is that makes sense.

My ottoman is stationary and it makes it easier to rock. Having both glide would be hard to get a Rythm down.

I have a gliding ottoman but I think it would work just fine with a stationary one!

I actually don't use one. You can do a stationary but you'll have to have it kind of close to you and push back and forth with the balls of your feet on it with your knees kind of bent, it might be hard to have your feet straight and push. They have inexpensive glider ottomans on Walmart online.
