Confused about app!

So i am on my period and i added when it started but it decided to put in itself that it ended yesterday! Which is not true! How do i add more days to it? I tried doing "edit period" and it worked until i left the app and came back on now to complete a part of my log. Now it shows that it ended yesterday again! Help!!!
