Friends Ultrasound Said Boy First Now Girl?

Okay I am posting for a friend.. 
when she went to her 14 week scan with her OBGYN & her OB didn't want tell her for sure because it was a little early but she told her she was 99% sure it was a boy.

Today she went to her Down syndrome ultrasound at the hospital & as far as I'm concerned the hospital is not allowed to tell you the sex but the tech did.. he told her he was 100% it's a girl but the baby was positioned in a very awkward way. I just want to get your guys's thoughts on these. She has an appointment with her regular OB on the 15th so she will hopefully find out for sure. She is just a little upset & in denial on having a girl.. 
The top is the ultrasound with her OB around 14 weeks & the bottom is her ultrasound from the hospital at 18w6d.

This happend to me with my first-we had an early ultrasound at 16weeks and they said boy and seemed pretty positive and then at her 20week they said 100% girl and sure enough she was a girl. They said the hormones can cause swelling and make it seem like it's a penis but it's not.

14 weeks is really way early which is why it's so unreliable. Girl parts are often swollen and mistaken for boy parts. I would trust the 18 week scan because it's far more likely to be more developed even to distinguish between the two.

The last picture is hard to make out, but in the first picture it definitely looks like a boy.
