Disappointed In gender?

Question

Has anyone ever been upset with the gender of there baby? Or their first baby? Like I know you'd get over has anyone ever felt like disappointed or a bit sad about your gender? Like if you wanted the other for say,

While we were TTC I wanted a little girl, after finding out we were having twins I was super excited at the idea of twin girls or a boy/girl. However, I'm having two boys. I won't say that I wasn't disappointed, because I was and it showed all over my face and through my body language (so not good for the gender reveal dinner we were having). It's been almost a month since I found out their genders, and I'm still sad that I'll never have a little mini me girl of my own, but it is what it is. At least I know I'm going to raise two boys that will become great men some day!

I went into this pregnancy wanting a boy, I've always wanted a boy. My husband has a 7 year old son from a previous marriage, and he SO BADLY wanted a girl. This is our first and last child, due to my medical issues, and he wanted to experience one of each. He wanted a daughter so bad, that he eventually won me over. The more I looked, the cuter the girls clothes, nursery decorations, headbands, etc were than boys. We went into the ultrasound, and I had my fingers crossed for a girl. Nope, all boy. I was instantly disappointed, and felt so bad for my husband. I ended up being more disappointed than he was (or I ended up showing it more. I can't tell if he's really not disappointed, or he's hiding it so he doesn't hurt my feelings). Luckily, we had agreed beforehand on a boys name, and were arguing over girl names, so that makes it easier, at least. And with the things my husband likes (hunting and fishing and motorcycles), I think he'll have an easier time bonding with a boy (his ex-wife took off with their son when they broke up, and he missed the first 5 years of his life, trying to track them down to fight for custody). 
And I'm sure once baby is born, I will be happy. But I wonder if I'll always look back and wonder what it would have been like with a girl.

I've felt disappointment twice and felt guilt to excess degrees both times! But I think it's normal.
My first I was upset it was a boy, mainly because in my head I was convinced otherwise. 
Next baby was a girl and I remember promising God I'd never prefer a gender again because at least I'd always have her.
This time, I had my heart set (once again) on a girl because I realized how desperately I want a sister for my daughter. It's another boy! I cried for days.

It's super common for women to want girls especially because it's what we know and what we can relate to. But the truth is we'll love them no matter what and the feelings subside. It's definitely normal though. I've had to let go of the guilt because I can't help my heart desires. I can say, my oldest- my son, is the sweetest most compassionate little human I've ever met and I am obsessed with him!

I'm having a boy i had my heart set on another girl the odds were in my favor and as much as I'm happy I'm having the first boy of our family I'm still upset that I don't get to enjoy the cute things baby girls get. Ik it's shallow to admit but Im happy either way that I'm having a baby

I'm definitely nervous to say the least. I've really never had a very positive experience with males and I'm nervous about the possibility of raising one. I'm nervous about how well we'll relate, if he'll share things with me or start pulling away as he ages, things like that... 
my darkest fear is if I'll be pessimistic as he ages though.... I've always found guys to be gross and self-absorbed and I have a very skeptical and critical tendency towards them and I'm so afraid as to whether I'll feel that way towards him as he becomes a teenager, starts having interest in relationships, etc.

I really want to trust my maternal instincts but it does frighten me. 💔
I feel like a bad mama for even thinking that could be a possibility... but I think it would be sort of like postpartum depression for me in a way and I'm nervous about that. I'm also scared he'll take after his daddy 😔

But we have a few weeks left before we can confirm gender...

I know I'll love my baby no matter what, I'm just worried if we'll grow apart or I'll grow depressed as he ages....
