any girls on non hormonal bc with no kids?

Hi! I'm 20 and been on hormonal bc and hated all the side effects (weight gain, dizziness, groggy). Initially I was on it to regulate periods which it didn't do. Now I want to go on it to prevent pregnancy. I need to go to a doctor I know but I've heard that some doctors won't give iuds to people who haven't had a child. Is there anyone here who has an iud and hasn't been pregnant. I am waiting until I'm on bc to have sex and want the nonhormonal iud. What if I go to a doctor and they say no? How do I handle this.
