Trying for a baby W/ BF of one year

I've seen so many "why doesn't my boyfriend want kids?" "Telling my bf I want to start trying" and I think oh so they don't believe in marriage and have been together for like 3+ years then no, theyve only been together a year. shouldn't you be talking about marriage first? Not babies? What's your opinion?
