I would love to have told our parents right away but my MIL cannot keep a secret. She gets too excited.  She announced our engagement for us,  by the time we said anything everyone already knew. I was hurt and learned my lesson then. So we're keeping it to ourselves until 12 weeks. I'm very scared of a miscarriage and don't want her to tell people my business.

We are waiting til Mother's Day weekend bc that's when I'll be 13 weeks & I don't want to tell my mom before then bc I feel like she's been waiting so long she's going to be so excited & im just scared of a mc. Also don't wanna tell my in laws bc I feel like my nieces would find out and if something happened I don't want to explain it to two 5 year olds. Next month is gonna be busy for me so hope it goes fast.

We waited until 8 weeks to tell our parents with our first daughter and swore them to secrecy until we hit 12 weeks then we announced it to everyone else. Sadly I delivered at 19.5 weeks and we lost our precious daughter last September. Currently expecting our Rainbow baby (or babies, we find out Monday how many eggs took!). I'm 5 weeks today and we will tell our parents after our ultrasound next week.

One thing I learned is that anything can happen at any time. Yes, the chance of miscarriage drops after 12 weeks but it's not guaranteed as we sadly found out. We want this baby to be as treasured as our daughter was so we are choosing not to wait as long this time to tell our parents but will probably wait until Easter to tell our extended families just because it will be the next time we have everyone together.

I voted right away... but we told our families (parents and siblings) right away.  We won't tell everyone else (including my step kids) until at least 10 weeks.

I haven't even told my hubby yet. Am just scared of MC and I don't want to raise his hopes up. I will wait a little longer.

We told everyone right away last time. As in my mom, sisters, and friends. We waited to tell my dad, we waited to tell his family. Since this was unplanned and we were a little nervous about what they'd say. We ended up having a miscarriage at 5/6 weeks. I am currently 5 weeks and like 3 days??  We plan on waiting a little bit to tell people. I have told my mom and sisters, my roommate and my best friend. Just because I feel like those will be the people that would help me through another miscarriage. I plan on telling my dad for easter (around 10 weeks) and everyone else around Mother's Day (14 weeks) and then hopefully have the gender for Father's Day (19ish weeks). I'm very very terrified of having another miscarriage. My significant others is afraid his family is going to be very angry at him 😒 and my family has been very supportive and excited.
