doctor said he could feel baby's head ??

Question

I asked my doctor to check me today cause I've had lots of Braxton hicks contractions and I'm just curious. He said I still have some length to the cervix and I'm not dilated but he could feel the baby's head ! How can they feel the head if your not dilated ?

It's totally possible! I was like that for a month before my son ever came! They are able to tell by what the cervix feels like

He might have meant he felt the head in position, even if you were dialated there would still be a layer between babies head and their touch.

Barely 1 cm and only like 50% thinned and when they checked me she could feel babies head and she actually moved her head around which I could feel and it felt so weird!!!

I think they can feel how hard it feels behind your cervix
