can you feed the baby regular foods if they have no teeth?

Can you feed babies regular food like spaghetti or mac and cheese or other regular foods if they don't have teeth yet? My LO is 8 months and I'm scared of her choking so have only given her puréed food and milk

My 8.5 month old has no teeth, but she can pulverize a piece of chicken with her gums and the enzymes in her saliva. You know your baby best, take small steps towards solids and you may be surprised how much your baby can accomplish!

My daughter has no teeth either but she hates puréed food so we started giving her our food. She's had avocado, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, mango, zucchini, squash, bananas. I'm sure there is more but I either make sure it's super soft or cut small. She has been great with it all.

If it weren't for my sons gagging to the point of vomiting issue, I'd definitely be giving him soft foods instead of puréed. He's 8 months and I've been trying since he was 6 mo w/no improvement. Even gags n pukes up all his milk on oatmeal still sometimes. Seems like no one else has this issue w/their babies 😔 I hope he outgrows this gag reflex soon.

I'm in same boat. Been trying to give soft solids but either he won't take it or he'll gag to point of puking which is so much fun... not! I tried Mac n cheese but he picks it up plays with it and either puts it back down or more so it ends up on his lap lol. Tried scrambled eggs yesterday and I think the texture wasn't right for him and the second little piece he gagged. And he only has his two bottom teeth so purees it is for now.

My little one is the same age no teeth. We give her the puffs and yogurt melts. We also do little pieces of veggies that are soft, mac and cheese, pasta, potatoes, pizza (not the hard part of crust). Pretty much anything she can gum up. She chews just has no teeth.

My daughter has two teeth "technically" since they have broken through the gums but BARELY and she still eats pieces of chicken no problem!

My son dont like pureè foods. I already gave him steamed or roasted vegetables. I cut fruits the size of pinky. Sometimes pasta but I use rotini instead of long ones. He likes to copy me

Nope I am a 3 rd time mom and my 9 month baby has two bottom teeth keep her on stage 2 baby food .  Each child develop at on own pace but mine eats cookies bit with teeth and table food .

My little guy has only 1 tooth and it's quite new. I give him soft solids and purées. Avocado cubes, banana chunks, beans (halved if too large), peas, anything I feel confident would just slide down his throat if he swallows it whole. I'll keep pureeing the other stuff until I feel like he understands the concept of chewing.
