addicted to social media...
(Might be a long one)
So for a few years I have been told I'm always on my phone. I'd always ignore it, I never wanted to see that it was true and it was pointless everything I did on my phone. After moving to New York I would justify using my phone so much because I'd say that "my family and friends were away and I wanted to check what they were all up to" but I would just scroll down on my insta/fb/twitter without rly txting anyone. Then it became a problem, interfering w my friendships, family relationship and love relationship. My mom and my bf would always complain about how I never left my phone alone and so after a few months I realized they're right. I can go without social media since it is really not a necessity. The day before school started, I deleted every social media app except for eve. It has been a difficult yet very good change for my life. I'm a lot more focused in school than I ever was last semester, my grades are high, I'm doing well in the EMT course I take on the side and I spend a lot more time actually speaking to people who are close and far away from me. Please don't let your phones/social media take over your life. I know phones are basic nowadays and everyone is all up on them, but remember to keep in touch (actually and literally) with your loved ones💗
