How to get baby to sleep?

My LO is 1 week and 6 days and for the past couple of nights once I feed him at 3am he stays up to 5am sometimes 6 and cries every time I put him down. What can I do to make him fall asleep.

It is completely normal at that age to wake up at night. She may be gearing up for a growth spurt or may just need comfort from you. She needs to grown some more before she will be sleeping longer at night.

My babygirl was starting to be fussy and would not sleep once we would put her down so i started tightly swaddling and that has helped 100% now i have to wake her up every 2 hours for feeding throughout the night. Shes even started to not want her legs swaddled. Try it!

I swaddle my baby girl and she can't hold her eyes open 5 minutes later .😁  I have a swaddle me and its awesome.

He may still be hungry. At this age he should only be awake for an hour, maybe 1.5 hrs tops. Make sure he's burped well. I give my babies 30 min after eating if they're awake then I change diapers again and swaddle. I start rocking/shushing/jiggling/patting.

Make sure the room is dark/dimmed. Do not talk to him or sing. Make it as boring as possible. I found the free app Calm last night and it has white noise and rain sounds which saved my breath from constant shushing and worked well. During the day do the opposite. Keep it brightly lit, do your normal activities, etc. It'll help him sort his days and nights.
