what are you doing if your sick

I woke up this morning with a sore throat typically I would take Tylenol but my doctor has told me no meds for pain I'm having a dental implant done tomorrow anyone have any suggestions?

I mean if you've been told not to take any medicine there's not a whole lot you can do. You can gargle salt water but that only helps for a short period of time, you could get some mints and suck on those to help and drink something warm

I would reschedule your appointment. I work in a dental office and we prefer not to have patients come in when they're feeling sick. It spreads very quickly. I was sick just two days ago and about 3 days ago I had a really sore throat. I drank lemon ginger tea(it's an herbal tea) with honey! And my throat felt better the next day. Pretty much any herbal tea is good when you're sick and definitely add honey. And get some rest.

I'm surprised they said you can't even have Tylenol. I've suffered from migraines and been prescribed pain meds in other pregnancies during the first two trimesters. Honestly, unless you have a health condition he barred pain meds for, I'd find another opinion. Dental implants are generally not *as* painful as some other oral surgeries but you're going to want something for the discomfort and most of the meds they'd give you have been deemed safe when necessary. I hope everything goes well and your recovery is smooth!
