When should I tell my 4 yr old i am pregnant??

I was wondering when I should tell my  daughter she's going to be a sister?!? I am 5 weeks 1 day according to Glow. Go to doctor in 2 weeks. I know she is going to be super excited, but nervous BC I MC before her and I don't want her heart broken. We have already told close friend and parents and I had to tell my boss BC of lifting things.

I would wait till your further along. I haven't dealt with this however my best friend recently was pregnant and told their ten year old son and then had her first obgyn appointment only to find out the baby didn't have a heartbeat and she had to have a D&C and the worst part for her she said was having to go back and tell her son. Congrats btw!

I miscarried last year, my children didn't know. I am going to be 14 weeks with twins tomorrow. We told them today ,u would wait at least until the second trimester, only because u think it would be hard to explain it to someone so young if something were to happen. Just a few minutes ago, my son was praying to go, thanking him that he is going to be a big brother. He would have been heart broken if he had known last time. He is 6 now

Wait until your starting to show so you can show her the little bump and she can understand it a little easier. And she doesn't have to wait that long then to meet bubs. Time takes ages when your that little. Congrats

I don't have any children but I've miscarried before... In my opinion I would wait until the end of the first trimester just in case... Or at least until you see your doctor to make sure all is going smoothly. Congrats and happy & healthy pregnancy to you!

We are TTC now and our son is 4 years old so I've been thinking about this lately too!  I'm thinking that we may wait until I start to show. I definitely don't want to tell him too early but obviously he's going to wonder what's going on when I start showing.

I would say soon before your next scan so your tot can see the new baby (if that's allowed) because even I you miscarry, your kid will want to know why their mum is upset

I waited until I started to show.  It made it a little easier (my daughter was younger then yours) to understand when she could see a bump.
