appendicitis or diverticulitis?

My dr told me this week that I may have right sided diverticulitis (which is extremely rare seeing as I'm only 22 and it's almost always on the left side) or appendicitis. She said that the CT scan showed so much inflammation around my appendix and colon that she couldn't clearly tell which it was. Could that be why it's been so hard for me to TTC? Hell the bitch even came early this month 🙄🙄 Way to ruin my birthday. Also, I'm only having sudden pain that comes in waves. Anybody else have either of those 2 issues? Why wouldn't she send me for more testing right then if she thought I had appendicitis? I went to EMT school, so I know it's not something to push off.

I had appendicitis. It was ok and off pain and I had a camera put in through my belly to see what the issue was and that's what they found When I woke up from it all they said they removed it and they were going to test it.  Sure enough they said you were right about your pain. The previous test couldn't tell.  I would get the same exam. They can take it out the same time.  The healing wasn't easy because I wouldn't sit still.. I was moving 2 weeks afterwards it was a long 60 days.  Today 4 years later it was the best thing I ever done.  I feel perfect.

I'm shocked that she thinks you might have appendicitis and didn't do anything about it? You should defiantly go for more testing IMO. If you do have appendicitis you need your appendix put before it burst!!
