UTI or normal healing?

I'm 10 days PP and during delivery received a 2nd degree tear. The last couple of days I started having some tenderness to my vaginal area return (it had all disappeared for the most part after about 3 days) and kind of have a constant itch in more than just the area near my stitches. I'm wondering if it's normal healing "irritation" or if I should be seen for yeast infection/UTI?

I had these at 3 week postpartum.i had 3 rd degree tear. It was itchy and to the point where I would cry .... my doc gave me a cream to apply .my doc things it's a part of healing process so he got me checked . And he cleared out tht I am healing nicely and no suspicious stuff .the cream is a big relief .

Ended up being one of the knots in my stitches irritating me. No infection or anything. The soreness that returned I was told could be from the stitches healing and pulling at tissue. Said it happens all the time where stitches are the issue :)

Pain that goes away then comes back can be a sign of an infection. I think you might want to go see your doctor just to make sure it's all ok.

Same here- I also had a second defree tear and now I'm uncomfortable and itchy at times. I might call my OB, but I've read it's normal from healing. Update us if you find out!

I had the exact same issue. Called my doc and she said to give UTI meds I'd need to come in and get cultured. I was barely moving at the time bc of really bad labor (3rd degree tear and forceps). So she said, if you get a fever it's probably a UTI. Otherwise, most of the time it's bruising on your urethra. Take a sitz bath three times a day. 
I did and the pain lessened. I still have it, but like I said I had a bad time of it. 
If you don't have a sitz bath, just sit in a bath with Epsom salts for fifteen minutes.
