Why is my son doing this

Question

Ok so my son is not a picky eater will eat just about anything, but lately he won't ear anything I put infront of him, but he'd rather eat everything I have, he picks his food until it's a mess everywhere and then will come to me to eat half or all my dinner :/ is there anyone else's one year old doing this

It depends on the kid and the parents, my daughter started doing that but I didn't let her take stuff off my plate so she learned to eat her food on her plate my sisters son is almost four and still pick at his food and eats off her plate.

My son is 18 months, he does good with eating the food I make him but once he is done or spots my plate he wants what I have. I tried doing the same meals for us but he wouldnt eat what we were having unless it came off of my plate. It can't come off my plate and onto his, he literally wants to pick it up off my plate and he wants to use my fork as well rather than his plastic ones.

Mine is doing the same thing lol I have to give him one food at a time or just go e him what I have. But at the moment it's hard I'm sick right now n I don't want to get him sick so it hard to feed him....

I've made the same things as us for him to eat but he just doesn't want it, hed rather snack and graze the whole day :/ x

My little girl is the same way. What I've tried doing is making her a plate of whatever I'm eating and sit there with her so we can eat together. It works well for us, but we do have our days😂

Yeah my kiddo was doing this too so now I just give him what everyone else eats and if all else fails i let him go in the pantry and fridge and pick. He usually ends up picking carrots or oranges or crackers so I just go with it. It saves from wasting food.
