Re-marrying?

Question

How do you ladies feel about people who get married more than once or even have open marriages? Do you think that the initial meaning is degraded since the 'till death do us part'? I personally believe if a marriage is broken because of certain reasons like cheating, domestic abuse and other unfortunate things whose to say you can't find your real soulmate! What's your ideas on this ladies ?? (No judgement ladies)

I would only consider divorce if my husband was abusive or mentally instable and abusive. Cheating, maybe. I might be able to get over it. Hope we never have to find out.

In my culture you aren't allowed to divorce or do infidelity. Probably why I got shunned by my community. Anyways I think people deserve a second chance.

Nobody should ever judge someone who has kept getting married. My mom's first husband cheated on her, even brought women into HER house (she had bought before she met him) My mom's second marriage was to my dad. He beat and abused both of us, and she got out. Nobody should judge, people don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Everyone was so mad at my mom when she divorced my dad. He was a popular teacher, and everyone blamed her. They didn't believe what had happened. We as women should stop shaming other women for divorcing.

I would like to think that everyone goes into marriage with the intention of it being forever, that doesn't always work out, see my post below. In this modern world, there should be no qualms about divorce and subsequently re-marrying. Both my older sisters are also divorced, one was cheated on and the other's husband was abusive, why should any of us not have a second chance on happiness?

My Mom was remarried and had me and my 10 year old brother. I'm 21 and my other half brother is 28. My Mom doesn't even talk about her previous marriage and I have never met the guy my older brother didn't know his biological dad either. Honestly I know my mom found true love with my dad and I don't think it degrades marriage at all.

I would like to think I would not get re- married. But being that I'm not in a situation to think about it, it's hard to say. A friend of mine got married at 19 and her husband died in a tragic car accident not even a year later. But she did find love again 6 years later and has 2 beautiful boys! So honestly I think it really depends on the circumstances of the individual. :)

I got married at 23 to a man I'd been with for 6 years, he left me after 3 months for no real reason (that he was willing to give me). I am now very happy with my BF of 3.5 years, but often feel that he'd have put a ring on it by now if I hadn't been married before...

I used to think that I was good with it. I was so sure that it wouldn't matter that I decided I go along with a relationship with a divorced guy and to make story short I ended up marrying him. He is a great guy but it's been very difficult for me because he has 2 kids 5 and 2 years old. He talk to his ex and the kids every day. I am 25 and I don't have any kids. I feel incredibly jelouse and angry at the idea of him visiting the kids and talking to the ex besides all the money he has to give as compensation. I suffer and I am just hopping that time will make me adjust
