So i know this is a big controversy. I want to hear opinions and stories :)

So I believe the kids are gonna drink regardless of what the parents think or do and being overly strict will only cause them to hide it and can cause potential more dangerous situations. I am by no means saying 14 year olds should be getting shit faced with friends. I believe there should be some rules and the kids should know the dangers but ultimately the parents should create an environment the kids feel safe to call the parents when they do drink. I drank as a teen and my parents knew when and where incase anything went wrong. I however didnt get overly drunk, drive with drunk people, and maintained good grades.

So whats everyone elses thoughts?
